The Autonics FX4S is a 4-digit, 30cps to 5kCps up/down counter with a built-in microprocessor. It has 2 Voltage input (PNP/NPN) and 5V PNP/NPN output type. The addition of the UP/Down input method enables convenient operation using push buttons or limit switches. Choose from alternate counting modes (count down or count up). Various time ranges are available, ranging from 1ms to 29 hours at intervals of 1ms to 100s using the DIP switch setting.
This digit counter can be used as an up-down counter with selectable counting direction. When the internal DIP switch is set to disable (OFF), the counter will not accept the up/down input, in which case no reset control pulse is required. The counter can be used as a countdown timer by setting the maximum value of 22 hours 59 minutes 59 seconds and adding a delay input. It can be used as an up/down counter by pressing the UP/DOWN input, offering compatibility with many industrial applications. Additional features like different voltage inputs and built-in programmability make this counter suitable for all projects requiring precision timing, such as weighing scales and machines.
