The Metrix+ DT 2259A Digital Stroboscope is a machine which shows and records mechanical vibrations, including frequency and phase, both continuously and instantaneously. It consists of an electrically driven rotating disc having undulations or gear teeth formed on its periphery. The disc is fitted with pickups that sense the vibration of the individual gear teeth as they pass by. These signals are amplified and transmitted to a display oscilloscope which forms the final output device. The DT 2259A Digital Stroboscope by METRIX+ is a high-quality, portable, economical and accurate digital stroboscope. The instrument has an automatic zeroing function at every power change and can be switched to manual mode if required. It comes complete with a robust protective carrying case, instruction book and a 9V block battery.
