Loctite 565 Thread Sealant is formulated for pipe, fittings, valves, flanges and other threaded components subject to tension. It is a high-performance sealant designed to cure in the presence of moisture and form a flexible, resilient, elastomeric seal to prevent leakage along pipes and at valve threads, flanges and pipe fittings. It effectively seals threads from air and water by creating an invisible barrier. Loctite 565 seals are ideal for water lines that must withstand continuous pressure cycles at temperatures up to 150°C (302˚F), where chemicals or corrosive liquids may be present.
This unique product eliminates this problem by forming a strong seal at high pressure. The compound locks onto any surface and can be painted in place or left under pressure to cure as an integral part of the joint design. It provides excellent resistance to atmospheric corrosion in all climatic environments and features excellent erosion resistance in fresh and salt water. It seals and insulates well in both dry and damp locations. It is ideal for sealing threaded pipe joints against leakage due to vibration, shock or temperature extremes.
