Red Oxide Metal Primer is also a top-coat varnish that dries to give a bright rich red colour. It can be used on any ferrous surfaces, such as zinc and galvanised metal, or steel. This product is especially good for use on copper and brass being cleaned for decorative purposes. The paint is both water and oil based, so it can be applied evenly to all surfaces even when cold. This metal paint also leaves a smooth finish that will not flake off in time like standard metal primers do. It may be applied on all steel, aluminum and ferrous metal surfaces to promote adhesion of top coats. The coating forms a sound bond to the metal by chemically reacting with it for a lasting hold.
