Nerolac Excel Alkali Primer is used for external cement plasters and concrete surfaces which may be prone to efflorescence/lime blossom. This house paint has a total alkali content of 0.13%, which makes it suitable for use in ‘NO FLASHING’ areas because they are subject to the effects of efflorescence/lime blooming whilst curing. It is a non-flammable material, so should not be applied too close to combustible materials such as paneling, insulation or carpeting. The color of this primer is very close to pure white; meaning that when applied, it will remain transparent after drying. It also contains low levels of impurities or pigments, therefore there is less chance of affecting the final color spectrum in the paint job. It can be applied directly over damp plasters, but the surface must be free of efflorescence and free of large amounts of dust or loose particles.
