The Waco DIT 99A digital insulation tester is a single-range digital insulation tester designed to test live voltage, partial insulation and insulation resistance of power distribution lines, transformers, motors and bushings. The DIT 99A Digital Insulation Tester will provide accurate test readings in normal/fault conditions and perform all functions automatically without needing to set any controls or buttons. With a range of 20 to 0.1MΩ, 10mV to 999V and 50 to 5000mΩ, the tester is ideal for testing electrical insulation in single-phase and three-phase systems.
The unit can work with single-phase and three-phase circuits, up to 100V. The instrument measures negative and positive insulation resistance and displays it in 4 digits on an LCD which is visible under strong lighting conditions. The 99A has a built-in circuit breaker switch to disconnect power in case of an accident or misuse. An LED digital display provides clear readings when testing for resistance, open circuits and polarity. A bright green LED also provides an overload indication when testing for short circuits (undershoot). This versatile tester is durable with a solid metal enclosure, ergonomic grip handle and rugged rubber boot cover.
