The Phoenix pH meter is a scientific instrument for measuring the potential hydrogen ion activity in liquids and a colorimetric electrode for the quantitative determination of pH. It has a signal, a membrane with the status of tracer and an electrolyte solution. The signal electrode reacts with the electrolyte solution through an electric field. As such, when the potential difference exists between both electrodes, current flows through the measured solution from one electrode to another. The measured current is proportional to pH value as well as related to the concentration of hydrogen ions in this solution and thus can be used as a measure of acidity or alkalinity on the scale or titration curves.
