The RU8500 Series is a silicone half mask compatible with the North N-Series cartridges and filters.  The RU8500 is one of the only reusable half masks on the market with a speech diaphragm. This feature offers improved speech clarity – eliminating the need for workers to leave the work space or doff the mask in order to communicate.

Protection Type:

When used with the appropriate filters, cartridges or filter/cartridge combinations, the North RU8500 is an air-purifying respirator for protection from particulates, gases or vapors, or any combination of particulates, gases and vapors. Do not use the RU8500 respirator in environments that are Immediately Dangerous to Life or Health (IDLH) or where the oxygen level is less than 19.5% volume at sea level.

Certifications:

The North RU8500 is currently NIOSH approved as an airpurifying respirator and also as a continuous flow supplied air respirator (CF-SAR).

Major Components:

Cartridge and Center Port Connections. The RU8500 includes two cartridge connections, one on each side and the threaded cartridge connections are compatible with all North N-Series cartridges and filters.
