The microcontroller unit is used for controlling all the sensors and the storage medium and also for downloading the data from them. The MCU is connected to the sensors by using analog pins so that they can send information to it such as pressure or voltage. The MCU can also control different output pins such as LEDs in order to display different information about the temperature or humidity.

The memory module contains both flash memory for storing data in it and EEPROM for storing calibration data or information about which sensor is connected where on the MCU. Finally, a small LCD screen will be attached to display information about different parameters of device's measurements.
