It is a green methacrylate-based threadlocking adhesive that can tolerate slight contaminations of industrial oils and has a fixture time on steel of 20 minutes, brass 20 minutes and stainless steel 60 minutes. Loctite 278's medium viscosity gives it a breakaway torque on M10 bolts of 42 Nm. It has a fixture time on steel of 20 min, brass 20 min and stainless steel 60 min.
