Magnaflux Cleaner-Remover SPOTCHECK SKC- I is a solvent and cleaner for many types of electrodeposited coatings. It is used to remove the existing coating from tube, line or pipe surfaces or an applicator to prepare it for a fresh deposition. It may also be used as a general cleaner and degreaser. It may be applied by brush, machine, dip tank or immersion bath. The formulation is a mixture of toluene, xylene and pyridine in a single solution.

It cleans and removes residue, particulate contaminants and lubricants from electrically conductive surfaces. SpotCheck SKC-I has excellent wetting authority and penetrates electrical connections to remove carbon and iron contamination. The remover provides excellent corrosion resistance to nitric acid. Spotcheck SKC-I is suitable for removing lubricants in pumps, gearbox casings, and other high pressure equipment. It can also be a stripping solution for magnesium castings and alloys. The product has a balanced pH value with added corrosion inhibitors so that it also prevents flash rusting on treated surfaces and inhibits surface oxidation. The unique formulation allows clean up of the residue with water alone.
