The B K Jagan & Co 1/2 Inch Pneumatic FR Unit W-04 – Air Regulator 32EC54 is a modular filter regulator combination unit. It has a screwed end connection and aluminium die cast body material. The Air Filter Regulator Combination Unit (ARCU) is a modular system that allows for the operation of air-operated valves and pneumatic cylinders. It consists of an air filter, a pressure regulator, and a solenoid valve. The ARCU is used to protect sensitive air-operated equipment such as pneumatic cylinders, regulators and other components from damage caused by hot or dirty compressed air. It can also be used to operate auxiliary equipment. The ARCU is fitted between the outlet of the compressor and the inlet of the device being protected. Air from the compressor flows through the filter and then into the regulator, which reduces its pressure to approximately 0.5 bar (7 psi). This filtered and regulated air then flows into the solenoid valve to operate your device. Air from the device flows back into the solenoid valve, which closes off when there is no signal from your controller. The solenoid valve then directs this return flow directly back to the compressor via a drain port.
