The SMD Rework Station BK1000 is a factory-quality soldering and rework station designed for the demands of modern electronics. It has a large, sturdy base that provides excellent stability during use, no matter how large or small your project may be. The main body consists of a single molded piece of ABS plastic construction, with an ergonomic handle built directly into the body to make it easier to manipulate while you're working. The heat-resistant ABS plastic is incredibly strong and able to withstand up to 300 watts of power without warping or becoming damaged in any way. The base comes with a foot pedal that can be used to turn the unit on or off, as well as adjust the temperature settings. The soldering iron itself is made from solid stainless steel, which gives it excellent heat resistance and prevents rusting when you're working with wet materials like flux. The tip is made from carbon dioxide-free copper and has excellent temperature control; it heats up in less than 30 seconds and maintains a constant temperature even at its highest setting. A built-in stand keeps the iron at a safe angled distance from the work surface while in use, so there's no risk of accidentally burning yourself while you're working. The station also features an integrated desold.
