Shrinkage, defined as the contraction of textile material width-wise or length-wise after wetting, drying, or exposure to elevated temperatures, is a critical factor in fabric performance. Century's template and scale provide a calibrated and user-friendly solution for determining dimensional changes after washing and dry-cleaning across a wide array of fabrics, including woven, nonwoven, and various materials like Cotton, Polyester, Nylon, Viscose, Silk, and more. This testing equipment features a calibrated scale with benchmarks ranging from 0% to 20%, allowing direct measurement of shrinkage and stretch up to 15%. The template, equipped with slots in both vertical and horizontal directions, is placed on the fabric, and Century Everon pen is used to mark the dimensions. After washing or dry-cleaning, the calibrated scale is applied to the marked fabric, providing direct readings of percentage shrinkage or stretch. The inclusion of permanent markers, a firm handle for easy transportation, and an acrylic template that maintains calibration in diverse atmospheric conditions enhance the equipment's usability and durability. Available in two types (Type A and Type B), each with multiple sizes of marking slots, Century's Shrinkage Template & Percentage Scale ensures accuracy in assessing fabric shrinkage without the risk of marking and calculation errors.
