This is a G-Tech F(0-5000um)-N(0-3000um) Coating Thickness Gauge. It is commercially used to determine the coating thickness of the optical components. The device can measure the coating thickness by measuring the interference of light. It is widely applied to test and inspect the coating thickness of optical lens, mirrors, prisms and other optical parts. It is a precision instrument that can be used to measure the thickness of dry film, powder or liquid coating up to 3.5 mils. The gauge is suitable for use with many applications including but not limited to paint, powder coatings, adhesives and rubber materials. The gauge measures coating thickness by measuring the time it takes for light to pass through the coating material. It has a resolution of 0.01µm, which is up to 10 times higher than that of an optical microscope. The measurement range is from 0.1µm to 5000µm, covering a wide range of applications from semiconductor production to optical devices. The gauge has a built-in color LCD panel, which displays the current value and the previous measured value for comparison, providing the best accuracy and repeatability for the user. This gauge works by measuring the time it takes for light, or other forms of energy, to reflect off of any object or coating, and then enter into the sensor on the back of the gauge. The result is a photoelectric reading which can give information about how thick the material is. This tool can be especially useful when combined with other instruments such as pico meters and impedance meters because it can give very detailed information about exactly how thick a material is across its entire surface.

The G-Tech GM998 is a 0-1500 micron coating thickness gauge that can be used in the automotive, aerospace, and military industries. Like other G-Tech gauges, it has an ergonomic design that helps prevent operator fatigue. It is a precision thickness gauge that can be used to measure the coating thickness of all surfaces, including wood, plastic, steel, stone, concrete and so on. It can also measure coating thickness between 0 and 1500um (microns). It is a portable instrument that is easy to operate. Each instrument comes with an internal battery and a battery charger. It is a type of surface roughness gauge that is used to measure the thickness of coatings on metal substrates. It has a sensor head that can be moved within a range of ± 30 degrees with up to ±5mm stroke, and an air knife that can be adjusted to provide an air flow with a velocity of up to 600m/s. The device measures coating thickness by measuring the optical interference between the coating layer and the substrate base material. It has a high sensitivity of 0.1um and a sample rate of 1,000 times per second. It is a coating thickness gauge that measures coating thickness of metal, plastic and rubber in the range of 0.01 to 1500 um. The G-Tech GM998 has an easy-to-read LCD screen and 5 buttons for easy operation.
