It is highly effective on lime scale, rust, hard water deposits etc. Gramicid-17(P) is a complex formulation of a powerful descaling agent, a surfactant and corrosion inhibitor compound. It is non toxic, non corrosive and non flammable. It has been specifically designed to effectively remove lime scale, limescale deposits from the various process equipment and vessel walls in Chemical and Petrochemical industries. These deposits are formed during the process of separation and purification of crude products. The product can be used for treatment of vessels, crystallizers, etc. where hardness exceeds 30 g/l (as CaCO3). Gramicid-17(P) is also effective in removing calcium sulfate scale obtained by evaporation at high temperature or as a result of scrubbing in furnaces. It imparts excellent wetting property to the water and acts on lime deposit by dissolving it and enables easier removal by mechanical scouring. The product can be used in almost all process equipments such as heat exchangers, columns, stills and other vessels where limescale deposits are formed due to process chemistry or water impurities.
