The HTLP ABBE Refractometer is used for quick, accurate examination of refractive index and mean dispersion of liquids, solids, and power. It has a simple structure and can effectively determine the mean refractive index and mean dispersion of substances. It features high precision, strong stability, and good long-term reliability.This is a refractometer that measures the refractive index of liquids and solids at a range of 0.0 to 1.45, with a mean dispersion of ±0.02. It also has an alcohol thermometer function, so you can use it to check the temperature of your samples. This is a great accessory for anyone who works with optical materials or anyone who needs a fast and accurate way to measure the refractive indexes of their samples.The instrument has an accuracy of 1.5 percent at 25°C, with a sample measuring range from 1.0 to 1.69. It uses the Abbe Refractometer Principle, in which light is passed through the medium under test and the resulting angle of refraction is measured by a prism system. This enables the instrument to calculate the refractive index using the formula n=n/n, where n is the refractive index of air (1.0003) and n is that of the sample being measured. Using this formula allows for readings without requiring an operator to manually enter temperature or pressure correction factors for samples at varying temperatures or barometric pressures. It also comes equipped with a built-in light source allowing for readings to be taken in both daylight conditions and dark room conditions. A temperature effect function allows adjustments of -0.0033 per degree Celsius, insuring accurate measurements are taken based on current conditions and not room temperature alone.
