The Explosion Proof Limit Switch, DNLF and SPDT type, is designed for use in hazardous locations where it must withstandthe the effects of explosion. The SPDT switch has one normally open (NO) contact and one normally closed (NC) contact. It is intended to initiate or stop a process or machinery when a specific level of gas or liquid vapor is reached. The SPDT switch has a B Series aluminum body and covers with a yellow lever and blue knob. It features a stainless steel actuator with an anti-rotation pin design. The actuator is protected by an aluminum shroud that covers the entire front side of the switch, except for the actuator lever, which acts as the second NO contact in the SPDT circuit. The internal mechanism within the switch has a flow indicator that provides visual indication n of the approximate flow rate through the device. The indicator consists of two colored glass beads that travel along the stem as the fluid passes through, providing approximately four revolutions per minute at normal flow rates. This design allows for ease of service since there are no moving parts to wear out or require lubrication during extended periods of operation, making this switch ideal for use in corrosive environments.
