Specifications |
UL Recognised (Approvals only apply to the packs of 100, and only for those terminals marked with an asterisk) .TE Connectivity PIDG Closed Barrel Butt Splice.PIDG (Pre-Insulated Diamond Grip) Designed to achieve stable reliability. These PIDG wire splice terminals consist of a precisely shaped, highly conductive copper body and barrel. The wire barrel is wrapped in both copper and a nylon sleeve with an identifying collar. The copper sleeve that wraps the barrel reinforces the insulation after crimping, and even if the wire is bent, the insulation does not wear and the conductor is not broken. Nylon sleeves are colored according to wire size and can be easily identified. The inside of the wire barrel of the PIDG splice terminal is knitted to maximize the contact strength and extension strength after crimping. By using these PIDG terminal structures and a dedicated tool die, the insulation thickness under pressure can be made uniform. This pressure is evenly transmitted to the crimping area, ensuring stable and reliable crimping. These PIDG splice terminals are available in a variety of wire and barrel sizes and are general-purpose solutions that can be used in a wide variety of wiring applications. Features and Benefits. Highly conductive copper body Supports wire insulation firmly with a copper sleeve Jagged wire barrel maximizes contact and stretch strength Easily identifies wire size and tool with sleeve color Reliable Product application information. These PIDG splice terminals meet or exceed the requirements of MIL-T-7928, Type II, Class 1 and 2, making them suitable for a wide range of applications. Major applications include equipment / control, lighting, power supplies, panel boxes, lifting equipment, motors, aerospace, and home appliances. |
