SOLISTRAND ring crimp terminals are designed for terminating solid or stranded wire and irregularly shaped conductors. SOLISTRAND ring terminals have a rugged design and maintain excellent performance characteristics even in very harsh environments. This design also gives SOLISTRAND ring terminals a longer service life. SOLISTRAND ring terminals are made from high-purity, high-conductivity copper for optimized electrical performance and are electro-tin plated for corrosion resistance. The closed barrel has brazed seams that enhance the strength of the metal and are resistant to harsh industrial environments. The inner surface of the barrel is serrated to maximize tensile strength and electrical contact area after crimping. The resulting "W" crimp allows the use of shorter barrels that are more cost effective. The bell-shaped opening in the barrel of the SOLISTRAND ring terminals allows for easy wire insertion, reducing installation time. To optimize the combination of mechanical strength and electrical conductivity, SOLISTRAND ring terminals are installed using a special SOLISTRAND crimp tool, sold separately.
