PIDG (Pre-Insulated Diamond Grip) spade tongue wire Crimp terminals are designed for consistent reliability in the harshest circuit environments. These PIDG spade tongue terminals consist of a precision molded, highly conductive copper body and barrel. The wire barrel is wrapped in both copper and colored nylon sleeves. A copper sleeve enveloping the barrel enhances the insulation after crimping so that bending the wire will not cause insulation abrasion or conductor disconnection. Nylon sleeves are colored according to wire size for easy identification. The inside of the wire barrel of the PIDG spade terminal is serrated to maximize contact strength and tensile strength after crimping. The construction of these PIDG terminals and the use of specialized tooling dies allows uniform insulation thickness under crimp pressure. This pressure is evenly distributed over the crimp area for a stable and reliable crimp. These PIDG spade terminals feature a funneled wire entry that prevents wire bundles from unraveling and allows for quick wire insertion for increased productivity. Available in a variety of wire, barrel and stud sizes, these PIDG spade terminals are versatile solutions for a wide range of wiring applications.
