Specifications |
Series: FASTIN-FASTON .250 Insulated: Non-insulated Minimum Wire Size mm2: 4 mm2 Maximum Wire Size mm2: 6 mm2 Minimum Wire Size AWG: 11AWG Maximum Wire Size AWG: 9AWG Tab Size: 6.35 x 0.81 mm Length: 21.3 mm Contact Materials: Copper Phosphate TE Connectivity FASTIN-FASTON 250 Crimp Receptacles. FASTIN FASTON 250 series quick connect crimp receptacle terminals provide quick installation and consistent reliability. FASTIN FASTON 250 receptacle terminals use the same production techniques as FASTON 250 crimp receptacles that ensure consistent electrical and mechanical performance. FASTIN FASTON 250 receptacle terminals feature a step-down insulation support barrel that compensates for insulation thickness, allowing axial alignment of conductor strands to be maintained. A tapered wall on the back of the FASTIN FASTON 250 receptacle terminal prevents over-insertion of the seatless tab. The difference between FASTIN-FASTON receptacles and FASTON receptacles is the addition of locking lances that provide positive retention of the terminals when inserted into the housing. Each FASTIN FASTON 250 terminal meets precisely controlled crimp specifications to ensure that all connections are performed as specified. To optimize the combination of mechanical strength and electrical conductivity, FASTIN FASTON 250 receptacles are installed using a special crimping tool sold separately. The "F" style crimp termination ensures precise tensile strength and conductivity for the life of the circuit. This termination method also provides maximum resistance to vibration and corrosion. Features and Benefits Quick installation on conductors using the correct tool Locking lances for secure retention within housing Precisely calibrated crimp specifications for consistent reliability Consistent electrical and mechanical performance Precision tensile strength and electrical conductivity Maximum resistance to vibration and corrosion. Applications. This FASTON 250 crimp receptacle is co mmonly used in the consumer electronics and automotive industries. Applications include appliances, washers, dryers and automotive harness wiring. |
