AKFIX Polyurethane Foam is a two component water based polyurethane foam that has been developed to be used in the building industry. It has been designed to provide a high level of thermal and acoustic insulation and also acts as a waterproofing product. It can be used on walls, floors, roofs and any other surface that requires insulation. The foam is suitable for use in both domestic and commercial applications and has a number of advantages over other types of insulation such as glass wool and mineral wool. The most obvious advantage is that it can be applied at very low temperatures which means it can be used in areas where it would not normally be possible or practical to install glass wool or mineral wool products such as attics, lofts or garages (where temperatures can drop below freezing). This makes it ideal for use in projects such as loft conversions where there are difficult access points that cannot easily be reached with conventional materials such as glass wool or mineral wool. Akfix is also a temporary high strength liquid latex that can be used as an alternative to spirit gum for securing prosthetic appliances or makeup to skin. Akfix has a unique formula that allows it to repair, strengthen and waterproof rubber and latex products. Akfix is a water-based adhesive that can be used on most materials including latex, rubber, plastic, foam, leather and fabric. It can also be used as an alternative to spirit gum for securing prosthetic appliances or makeup to skin. It dries clear and will bond instantly upon contact with most materials. The Akfix 705 Fast Adhesive is a one component, solvent-free, rapid setting, high strength epoxy adhesive. It has excellent chemical resistance to most chemicals and solvents. The 705 Fast Adhesive cures at room temperature in 15 minutes, has a tensile strength of 1750 psi (124 MPa) and elongation at break of 40%. The bondline thickness is approximately 41 mils (1 mm). The 705 Fast Adhesive will not stick to most substrates such as metals and plastics.
