The Hobbywing Xrotor 20A ESC is an affordable, reliable and easy to use electronic speed controller that is perfect for your multi-rotor applications. The Xrotor ESC is small yet powerful, and can handle 2S-4S LiPo batteries without any problems. The Xrotor has a built-in BEC that provides 5V to power the receiver and servos, so there's no need for additional components or wiring for them.The Xrotor 20A ESC is also very easy to program. You can set the desired battery voltage and the number of cells you are using (2S-4S) using dip switches, which means you don't have to go through the hassle of hooking up a computer to reprogram it every time you want to change your battery configuration. The Xrotor ESC also comes with an LED display that shows you the battery voltage under load, so you can keep track of your battery health.The Xrotor 20A ESC can handle up to 3S LiPo/LiFe batteries, and comes with a barrel jack connector for an external BEC. The input voltage range is 6 – 15V, which means it can be powered by 2-3s LiPo, a 3s LiFe battery, or even 4s LiPo with a step down converter.For most applications, an external BEC is not necessary. If you want to use an external BEC though, Hobbywing offers an optional one on their site. The stock BEC will do just fine for powering servos.As far as programming goes, this ESC has all of the features you'd expect from a modern speed controller. There are three timing modes: Multiwii/Airplane mode (1-2ms), Multiwii/Heli mode (2-4ms), and Multiwii/Climb mode (2-7ms). It also has two programmable mixes: one between throttle and pitch channel.

The throttle curves are available in four different options, but you can only change them with the solderless method.Hobbywing XRotor-40A ESC is the first and only 30A 2-6S BLHeli_S ESC in the market. It's a feature packed, micro sized, light weight, high performance speed controller especially designed for multi-rotor racing drones.The Hobbywing XRotor-40A is based on the latest BLHeli_S firmware (1.16) and uses hardware generated PWM for smooth throttle response. It has DSHOT1200 built in for fast response to fast throttle input signal. The hardware generated PWM signals are also used to increase motor life span and reduce heat buildup. The Hobbywing XRotor-40A ESC comes with a current sensor (0~3.3A) sensor rated at IPEX connector. The high performance MCU of the Hobbywing XRotor-40A can handle all types of flight controllers and it also supports Telemetry which is a must have for racing drone applications.
