The Lintas Design ball valve is a stainless steel ball valve with a lever handle that is rated for 1000 working open gauge (WOG). The handle lever is designed for complete blockage of the flow using a stainless steel ball. This ball is blown out of the valve if the pressure reaches the set point. The Lintas Design Ball Valve consists of five main components, namely; bonnet, stem, seat ring, disc and ball. The Lintas design ball valve has a full bore stem with a Teflon seal, which makes it suitable for use with fluids containing abrasives or solids such as water and air. The stem is made of stainless steel to resist corrosion and high temperatures. It is also not affected by most chemical solutions. The ball is made of stainless steel and the seat ring has a PTFE seal on the inside. The PTFE is resistant to most chemicals and can withstand high temperatures up to 400 degrees Celsius.
