The Time Switch is very easy in use and its ease of installation and it's small size makes it very suitable for various applications, like automatic switching on/off street lights, sensors, fans, pumps or other electrical equipment. It has a long life expectancy and a low power consumption. The Time Switch includes a rechargeable battery backup to store the programs in case of power failures. The Time Switch is equipped with a remote control for easy program change even from distances up to 300 meters away. The body of the Time Switch is made of high quality plastic and the time switch has sound indicators for each step of the programming. The adjustable sensitivity allows accurate operation in low-voltage areas. Each Daily Time Switch has two channels: one for turning on and off, and one for setting the time of day it should operate. The "ON" channel works by means of a cam-driven arm connected to an electric motor that will turn on power flow when it rotates clockwise. The "OFF" channel works similarly, but in reverse; it turns off power flow instead of turning it on by means of the same electric motor. Each channel has its own motor and its own cam gear so that they'll operate independently of each other—this allows you to program different time intervals for each channel if desired. We're going to use that device in our example, but you could easily replace it with almost anything that can trigger an electronic circuit. You could even use your phone (or the computer you're reading this on) if you want it to be really automatic.
