JOHN OAKEY 36 Grit Emery Glue Sheet Discs Emery Paper is an abrasive material that comes in various grades and shapes. It is made from silicon carbide, a hard mineral that can be moulded into different shapes and sizes. Emery paper is commonly used in woodworking applications. It can also be used for metal and plastic work. Emery paper is often used to finish wood surfaces or to remove scratches from metal parts

Emery Paper is a sheet of abrasive material bonded to a backing. This backing may be paper, Cloth, or plastic. The abrasive used in Emery Paper is usually garnet or aluminium oxide; however, other materials such as silicon carbide and zirconia alumina are also used
The main function of Emery Paper is to grind and remove the excess material from the surface by using friction between two surfaces, which may be different materials or even same material under pressure or without pressure depending upon the application requirements
