Selvo rotary switches are suitable for panel as well as base mounting. The purpose of using 100A phase selector switches is that the single phase loads re distributed over the three outgoing phase sections, and a load terminal is provided through which single phase load will be connected. The purpose of a phase selector switch is to position the load across different phases. For example, in a 3-phase system where more than one load is connected on a common phase. These switches with their cam mechanism can be rotated to select one of three positions: 1-phase single load, 1-phase and 2-phase, or all 3 phases. The 1-phase single load position will allow the 3 incoming line voltages at both poles/connections whereas when it is rotated towards 2-phase position, both poles will be in contact with live voltage on one phase and earth on another resulting in zero current flow through the switch and hence no power is transferred through it. A phase selector switch allows a single line voltage plane (live) or multiple line voltages (live & neutral) to be selected by opening and closing internal contacts within the device via turning it by hand.
