This is a product review of the 17118001141101 White PVC Cistern by Somany that I purchased from Amazon.com. The manufacturer states that the cistern can hold up to 17 gallons, but I found this to be untrue. When filled to the max, it was not quite 17 gallons. This cistern is advertised as being made out of high quality PVC plastic and ABS plastic. I found this claim to be true; it appears very durable and well built. It also has a nice shine to it that makes it look like metal, but without any of the weight associated with metal cisterns. This cistern is advertised as having two 1-inch outlets at the bottom and one 3/4-inch outlet at the top. This appears accurate; those are indeed the measurements of these outlets. It also has three 1-inch openings in its cover that allow water to drain out when you flip it over after emptying it. There are four mounting holes (two on each side) that allow you to mount this cistern on a wall or fence post with ease. There are also four feet on the bottom designed to keep this cistern up off the ground while allowing air flow underneath so as not to get mildew or moldy
