• Tru PU is a one-component waterproofing membrane, bitumen-modified polymer PU-based waterproofing system. Tru PU gives excellent barrier to building facades from vapour, salts and water. It has been proven to be an ideal and long lasting solution for many types of buildings.

Advantages

• TRU PU is a single component liquid system and very easy to apply. It has good crack bridging capacity up to 2 mm. The product has excellent adhesion and can be applied to a range of substrates.
• TRU PU is an ideal choice for sealing joints, seams and cracks in concrete floors, walls and ceilings in residential or commercial buildings. The product can also be used as a sealant between tiles/stones/marble/granite slabs and grout joints.

How to use

• Tru PU is a two component polyurethane waterproofing membrane for use in new construction, residential and commercial buildings. Tru PU can be used to protect the external walls of a building from rainwater penetration.
• Tru PU is also suitable as an internal waterproofing system where there are no mechanical loads on the membrane such as a swimming pool or gymnasium. It can also be used to waterproof basement walls or below ground level foundations.
• The following instructions should be followed when applying Tru PU:
• Prime the surface with max. 20% water adding to Tru PU. Mix it till it becomes Homogeneous, then apply by brush or roller to the surface. The coverage will be approx. 80-90 sq ft per Kg. The coverage will depend on the substrate condition
• Tru PU should be applied direct by brush to obtain a continuous unbroken film
• Two coats are required, second coat should be applied at right angles after the first coat has cured properly
• It must be protected from mechanical damage during construction or backfilling works
• Any damage may be repaired by spot application
• If a water flood test is to be run, the membrane should cure for a minimum of 10 days

Storage

• TRU BUILD TRU PU is a water-based, fast-setting build-up material for metal, glass and plastic. It can be used to fill gaps and holes in metalwork, to create a corrosion resistant surface on steel and aluminium, and as a general purpose sealant.
