Unitech UT503 Converter -20° to 70°C

This USB to RS485 / RS422 converter is similar to our UT-501 the main difference is that the serial processor chip in this converter is a Silicon Labs CP2102 converter chip whereas the UT503 has a FTDI chip. Both processor chips are of equally high quality and performance however some customers prefer one over the other due to slight differences in the driver software features or application compatibility.
Another difference between this converter and the UT503 is that this converter has a light duty housing, made of fully transparent plastic which makes it ideal for laboratory, office and most consumer applications and projects.
As with the FTDI drivers, the Silicon Labs drivers also create a virtual COM port in your operating system's Device Manager which can be used as if it was a standard built-in serial COM port. The software drivers are compatible with all versions of Windows, Linux and Mac.
This converter is also electrically protected against static electricity, high voltage spikes and other high voltage spikes which potentially may damage your equipment and cause data loss or communications errors.
