CF8 & CF8M Wafer Type Check Valves are suitable for both high and low pressure service up to 150 PSI at temperatures up to 180° C (356° F). The check valve disc is of a unique design which combines maximum leakage with minimum torque. The body is made of bronze with an integral flange connection at one end and mounting lugs at the other end. The seat is made of PTFE rubber for corrosion resistance and high temperature serviceability.

Wafer type check valves is a non-return valve, which allows flow in one direction only. The valve opens automatically and closes automatically when the pressure on the upstream side is higher than that on the downstream side. The disc is held against the seat by a spring which forces the disc to close when there is no pressure applied to it.

The body of this check valve is made of carbon steel and has a flange connection for mounting on a pipe line. It has a PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) rubber seal which prevents leakage even at high temperatures up to 180 °C (356 °F).
