Characteristics and Field of Use

• An all-position SS electrode gives a 24/12 Cr/Ni deposit with excellent resistance to chemical corrosion and heat resistance. It gives a stable arc, low spatter, smooth weld profile, and easily removable slag. The weld deposit is of radiographic quality and withstands temperatures up to 1100 °C. Suitable for welding 25/12 stainless steel grades like AISI 309 . Welding stainless steel to carbon steel and low alloy steel, for overlaying on mild steel, welding cladded steels, etc.

• High-alloyed low carbon electrode for surfacing unalloyed steel, joint welding molybdenum-alloyed stainless steel to unalloyed steel, and for welding clad material.

Re-Drying/Baking Conditions

Applicable only for electrodes exposed to the environment, prior to welding redrying at 200- 300°C for 1-3 Hrs recommended.
